“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” – Psalm 119:105

Yup! We’re taking on this challenge! The Bible in 90 days!

Allyra has just finished her K5 requirements and we decided to do this activity as a family for the next three months.

I’ll be posting our kids’ activities here while I write my own personal reflections as I take on this journey in my other blog: http://faithhopeandlotsalove.wordpress.com/

THE GOAL: To read the Bible from cover to cover before the year 2013 ends.

STUFF WE ARE GOING TO USE:

  1. Read and Share Bible.  Praise God for a wonderful year of learning using the K5 BJU Beginnings program offered by VCIS Homestudy. Allyra can now read her Bible on her own with minimal assistance needed.
  2. What’s in the Bible videos. We purchased the DVD 1-12 Digital Download pack and will be using it very soon. This one has got me really excited!
  3. Raising Rock Stars Preschool Curriculum. Carisa from 1+1+1+1 has been so generous to give this for free for her followers and I’m also looking forward to using this since I really like the book “My ABC Bible Verses” by Susan Hunt from which this curriculum was based on.
  4. How to Draw the Bible. This material from another blog called Future Flying Saucers I follow is is really cool! She’s also got loads of other cool stuff we’ll be exploring as the time permits.

We’re gonna have lots of learning and lots of fun. I just know it!

And the best part is, we are sure that committing to reading ALL of Scripture is according to God’s will. And since it is “God who works in us to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13),” we can be confident that,“He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)”

God is so good and we can’t wait to know Him more! Let’s do this for the glory of God!

    1. Wow, that’s great! I’ve looked through a few lessons and I can tell she really poured out a lot of love in making it. I also love what you put on your blog. Praise God for the wisdom He gives
you and the heart to share this wisdom to us!

  1. are you reading Old and New Testament or just New Testament? If you are reading both, that is almost 16 chapters a day. If its just New Testament that’s three to four chapters a day. 16 chapters is a lot especially if you’re trying to retain any information. But it is definitely doable if you have time on your hands. Go for it and have fun.

    1. We’re going to read both the Old and New Testaments. My husband and I are following the Bible in 90 days plan from the YouVersion phone app. So far (it’s only been a day), it seems manageable enough. We pray and trust that the Holy Spirit will be the one to guide and lead is in understanding His message. 🙂
