Episode 2: The Heart of a Dog Rescuer

“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.” – Josh Billings

A dog, they say, is a man’s best friend, yet there are millions abandoned all over the world. In the past decade, hundreds have been rescued in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia alone.

Watch our second episode of “The Divrgents” as we speak with Nour Fitiany, the Adoption Coordinator of Open Paws Jeddah, a team of volunteers that rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in Jeddah. Find out more about this amazing organization, the OPJ adoption process that shows their commitment to finding the best home for the rescued dogs, what it’s like to be a volunteer, and of course, how we all can help. Find out as well what’s the real difference between adopting and buying a pet, and why we should #AdoptDontShop.

This is such a jampacked interview and it is our hope through this, we can spread the word about Open Paws Jeddah and encourage more people to support, volunteer, foster, and adopt. We are one in advocating, “Every dog deserves a home.”

Watch out too for the OPJ Calendar 2022 which will be out this December. Buying this calendar is one way to support their cause as the funds raised are to be used for vet bills and in taking care of the rescues. We’ll be posting more about it as soon as it is available.
